Promote Your Music Classes with Twitter
Twitter is currently the most popular social networking tool on the web, and many folks are using it as a way of staying active and informed about what's going on with friends, in the news, and for their favorite organizations.
There are a number of benefits to using Twitter to promote your Kids' MusicRound center and communicate with your families. Here are just a few of them:
- Twitter is a way to develop a community for your class. It is similar to Facebook and MySpace, but the focus is on the updates, which makes it more of a communication tool
- Twitter allows you to instantly communicate with all music class families simultaneously. Great for informing families about class cancellations, announcing special events and new class times, or sending registration reminders.
- Parents very often share what they're doing with their followers which will effectively become word of mouth marketing for your center
- Those who stay in touch with the KMR community are more likely to promote the program among their peers
- Parents can look up names of other parents and develop relationships with other folks in the program, leading to increased retention from semester to semester
- You and your families can share pictures, upcoming events, birthdays, special thanks, births, and other special events with each other (Please remember to have them sign an agreement before posting pictures)
- Families can stay connected with your KMR center so that if they leave due to financial hardship or their first children outgrow the program, they continue to stay in touch and are more likely to return to the program when their personal situations change
