Day 2

This day focuses on the necessary skill set of the teacher; activity presentations throughout the day.

• Learn the importance of movement in the music classroom
• Go into more detail on successfully leading music activities using movement and musical props such as egg shakers, sticks, and scarves and more.
• Observation of a live class
• The use of play in the classroom
• Successful lesson planning techniques
• Learn what songs and chants to incorporate into your lesson plans
• Individual coaching
• Developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Overview of child development and how it applies to early childhood music classes
