How to Set Up MySpace Pages

1. Get Started
   Visit www.myspace.com and click the Sign Up link on the right side of the screen.
   
   
2. Create an Account
   Enter your information into the form. If you are creating an account for your business, you can enter your name here. Your business name can be added later as your Display Name. Including both your name and your business name makes it easier for people to find you because they can search for either name.
   
   
3. Email Verification
   After providing information needed to create your account, you will come to a screen indicating that you have been sent a verification email. This email allows MySpace to confirm that the email address you provided was entered correctly and belongs to you.
   
   Check the email account you provided and almost immediately, you should receive an email from MySpace that looks something like the one below. Follow the directions in the email.
   
   If you do not receive an email your account set up either was not completed or the email address you provided was mistyped.
   
   
4. Add Pictures
   Once your email address has been verified you will be allowed to upload a picture to your profile or take one with a webcam. Either click on the link for the webcam or click on the Browse button to find a picture to upload from your computer.
   
   
5. School and Group Information
   After adding pictures you'll be brought to a screen that asks you to put in information about schools you have attended. If you don't want to include this information, you can click "Skip this Step".
   
   
6. Location Information
   Next you'll be asked to enter information about your location information. It is recommended that you do so, because this will help your friends and clients find you.
   
   
7. Add Contacts
   Congratulations! You've finished your setup! Now, you can find friends by searching through your email address book. You'll see a pop up (shown below) encouraging you to find friends through your email accounts. Provide your email address and password and MySpace will search through your contact lists to find people registered with MySpace.
   
   
8. Find Friends
   Click on Find Friends, and search for people you know by name, email address, location, school and more.
