Tonya Lemmons, Director

Tonya has been a part of the early childhood music community in Park Hill for the past 8 years. She has taught early childhhod music in pre-schools and in other early childhood educational settings. Tonya has a passion for children’s literature and has worked as an educational bookseller at The Bookies, Denver's premier children's bookstore, for 4 years. Tonya has a B.A. in English from U.C.L.A. and worked for several years in the program, Ready to Succeed, an early childhood outreach program housed at the the Hope Center in Denver. This outreach program had a strong literacy component and Tonya worked, through home visits, with low income, young moms helping them to prepare their preschoolers for kindergarten. Offering the Kids' MusicRound program is another great way to provide her love of music and children to families. She is excited about the opportunity to combine her love for families, children’s books and music in the development of Tales 'N Tunes LLC. She is grateful to be able to offer Tales ‘n Tunes to the Park Hill community as her work with families in this community has inspired her to commitment to bring the love story and song to the heart of every young child. Tonya’s has four children with her husband Michael and their home is constantly filled with children singing, playing piano, violin and cello. Tonya has a heart for children and a gift for creating a musical community that extends beyond the classroom experience. She can't wait to share the joy of Kids' MusicRound with families!
